All the families were happy!

In anticipation of Christ’s birth, we follow the tradition of the Advent wreath. Each of its 4 candles (3 purple, 1 rose) represents one of the four weeks of Advent. A candle is lit at dinner each day and a prayer is said. The purple candles represent penance/preparation and are lit in weeks one, two, and four. The rose candle, which stands for rejoicing, is lit in week three, marking the midway point in Advent.
