I have been busy busy catching up on my customer thank you cards from the last week of August and the first week of September.  I have so much fun making these cards and adding goodies to those who qualified.  Thanks so much for my amazing customers for supporting my little business on the internet.  It means so much to me!

This past Sunday we had a HUGE scare in our family.

We were in separate cars on our way to my in laws house for dinner.  I passed Bryan on the freeway and was about a minute ahead of him.  I got a call from him that he was in a major car accident.  I thought he was kidding at first and then soon realized that this was not a joke.

They were clipped on the right side of their car by a teenage boy, who was thought to be texting on his phone.  Bryan was going 70 MPH and had 3 of my children in the car.  They skid across 3 lanes of traffic and plowed into the median.  The front tire blew out, all air bags depoyed, and skid to a stop in the left emergency lane.  We truly believe that angels guided them safely and unharmed.  It could have been sooooo bad!  So grateful that ALL of the kids and Bryan were wearing their seat belts.  If they weren’t we would have a much different story to tell.

Lots of seat belt bruises and soreness the next day but thankfully that is all.  Bella was safe, too, which was a miracle as Madie was holding her in her lap.

Not sure if I mentioned it here but I am leaving for Ireland with my big sister Christy in a little over a week!  I am soooo excited about this trip that is purely for fun and to celebrate her birthday.  I will be gone for 12 days but promise to update regularly!  I will be posting a new class, too!

Hugs,
Robyn

I love listening to all kinds of Christmas music. And my all time favorite thing to do is sit with the lights off looking at the Christmas tree all lite up and how it sparkles when the light reflects off the orninents while having a hot cup of apple cider or hot coco and having instrumental Christmas music playing in the background 😉

  3. Theresa C says

It is going to sound bad probably, but since getting cats, my new favorite thing is watching them sit under the tree watching it go round and round. We have a tree stand that turns the tree around while it is lit. So super nice. You get the chance to see ALL of your precious ornaments on the tree. Anyway, Blue and Sky Belle are completely fascinated by it!
As a family, we don’t have any regular traditions. Wish we did, but….
On a separate note….I am so very happy that your family is just suffering from bruises and bumps. If you don’t mind, I will say a prayer for them now. Hugs!

Yikes!! So glad no one was hurt in the accident! One of our favorite things to do between Thanksgiving and Christmas is to go to Old Salem, visit the shops, look at the colonial style decorations and have lunch at the tavern. They serve a hot spiced cider that is amazing, and we usually get a side order of Coastal Spiced Rum, which is made in NC. Some people put it in the cider, but we prefer to sip it separately.
