Let me start by saying how much I dislike camping outside.  I’m not really a girly girl but I like the comforts of home.  I did, however, have a great time with my church family!

I just want to close by encouraging you all to try something new this week.  It’s so fun learning new talents, hobbies, and skills.  I am 44 and just learned how to knit this weekend!  It’s nice to have another hobby I can add to my collection and also now I have something else in common with my big sister.

What is something that you would like to learn?

Thanks for all of your great card ideas, and have a great week!

  5. Kathy Schenck says

We are camping now near W. Glacier in Montana. We have been evacuated from Seeley Lake where our cabin is due to the Rice Ridge fire that was moving away from us but the wind changed. Praying for rain for all of Montana and for the flooding to end in Texas. Kathy

I learned to knit and crochet on my own, but my youngest daughter taught me how to quilt and oldest daughter taught me many techniques in quilting. 20. Elizabeth Lumsden says

I’m glad your weekend was good! I spent mine holed up at home with 2 stir crazy dogs, hiding from the wind and the rain here in the Austin area. We didn’t suffer like the coastal residents did but it was still scary!

  21. Sherry Woodard says

I love to scrapbook — I just want to learn how to get more Creative!
I’m so not into camping — not now — not ever! We even had a camping trailer back in the day — and I was always so happy to get back home! It was always so much work! Packing the tailor after shopping for food for days. Doing the cooking and cleaning the entire time we were in the cold woods! Then coming home and having to unpack and clean the trailer! I’m glad the rest of my family enjoyed it! 🙄

  22. Leslie S. says

We used to camp all the time but as I got older I just didn’t want to sleep on the ground anymore. My knees aren’t what they used to be! Looks like you picked up knitting just fine Robyn, good for you. My mom used to knit and my grandmother crocheted but sadly I never learned either of those. Have a great week and thank you for the chance to win that amazing set.

  23. Marylin H Tucker says

Robyn, Thanks for the updates. I feel the same way about camping. It is way too much work. I’ll also enjoy being home more. Knitting is so fun and there are so many free patterns on the net. The last thing I made was the circle scarf and a felted hat. Enjoy! Marylin T
