Hi Guys!
I hope you all had a GREAT week! I’ll be honest…. I struggled a bit this week. Getting up early has thrown me off but I am finally getting used to it. This morning I got up without one single murmur. I promise! I wasn’t even sassy with my husband like I have been all week. He’s been like… “Day 2, time to get up and exercise with me”…. and I’ve been like…. “GO AWAY AND LET ME SLEEP!!” By Day 4 I wasn’t as mean and this morning I woke up with smiles. Seriously, I actually smiled at him in the workout room. He was like… “Who the heck are you and what have you done with my grumpy wife!” LOL!! Today’s walk on the treadmill was AWESOME!! I walked for 40 minutes and actually ran 2 minutes straight… 3 TIMES!!!! My foot doesn’t even hurt! I think that stretching and warming up is the key. I can’t wait to run a 5K in the Spring. We are going to look for a mud one or a color run. Might as well have fun with it, right?!
Happy Thursday night everyone!
I know I’m a bit late with this project but I’ve had quite the busy day. I started with 30 minutes in my exercise room this am and then off to play tennis for a little over an hour. Day 4 of my healthy lifestyle journey is going well! I’ve already had over 10,000 steps on my Fitbit!! Woo hoo!
Okay, are you ready for a not-so-quick video? I promise, I really tried to keep it short but it turned out to be a longer-than-normal video. I hope you enjoy it still and forgive me. 🙂 You know I love you guys!

Chicken Update
I thought I would give you a little up date of my feathered friends. They are actually doing really well for their first winter. The temps have got down to zero and they have been busting out eggs still. We are not using a light in the coop either. I cannot wait until Spring when they can scratch around in the dirt like they love to do.
Happy Wednesday Everyone!
I just wanted to check in for a second. I will have a new video for you all sometime tomorrow. I’ve been busy packing up my class project kits. All I need now is for our order to arrive and I can get these out in the mail to those of you who signed up for my Bloomin’ Love Online Card Class.
P.S. I thought I would give you an update on my healthier me journey. Today is Day 3 and it hasn’t been as bad as Day 2 was. I did a little bit better on the treadmill as well. I walked for 30 minutes and had 2 one minute running stretches. My goal is do run for 1 minute each day this week while I am walking and then add an a minute to the running stretch each week. So, next week I will be at two minutes, etc. etc. I would like to do a 5K in the Spring. My Plantar acts up a bit but no more than usual. It might be something I have to deal with forever but I can handle it.
Happy Tuesday Everyone!
Sorry this is coming to you so late. Day 2 of my getting healthy stuff is always the hardest. I got out of bed at 5:30 am to put in my class orders, then worked out for 30 minutes, then sat in a vegetated state for the next few hours. The second day is always like this for me because my body is not used to going to bed early and waking up WAY TOO EARLY! (I’m rebelling a little bit today, too, but we won’t talk about that.)
Do you know what time it is?…………..

Happy Monday Everyone!
My husband and I both decided that today would be the day that we start our journey to a healthier “us”. I got out of bed at 6:30, mumbling the entire time! For the past year my husband has been getting up with the kids and letting me sleep a little bit longer since I help with the kids at night. I actually like getting up early but I just need to get in the habit again.
Happy Sunday Everyone!
I hope your day has been relaxing and uplifting. In our church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we switch our start time each year. Last year we started at 9:00 am and this year we get to start our meetings at 11:00 am where I live. It is different in every meeting house. My days seem a little bit shorter as we all sleep in just a bit longer. 🙂 I’m not complaining, though, as we had a surprise visit at the ER last night!
So….. here’s the story, if you are interested. My 17 year old and I were about to run out and get a quick bite to eat at around 9:30 pm, since we were having a lazy day.
Right as we were about to walk out the door, Brayden started crying and running to the bathroom. As a mom you learn the different meanings for each cry. Some you know aren’t real, some are not that serious, and some are REALLY BAD! This was the latter. This was the type of cry where you stop what you are doing, hop up and run after your child. We don’t have those as often anymore but every once in a while we get a fun surprise.
I run into the bathroom and there is blood everywhere. I am not good in that type of scenario, so it’s nice that Bryan was able to access the situation. I think I might have even blacked out a little (but don’t tell anyone!). Long story short was that he was going to need stitches.
We get to the after hours clinic and it was closed so we knew we had to take him to Provo to the ER. We got there and were very blessed that he was able to be seen right away. No waiting time at all! ***BLESSING***
After they checked him in, the doctor arrived and got a closer look. Turns out he was cut in 3 different spots. 2 on his ear (which I won’t go into detail because it really grosses me out but Karlee and my sister both wanted a picture! EWWWWW!!) and then one on his head, which we weren’t aware of. The ear took 8 stitches and the head was 3 but in a really tough spot. I will need to take him to his doctor on Tuesday morning to make sure it is healing properly and not infected. YIKES!!
What had happened was that his 13 year old brother was fake hitting him and Brayden pulled his head back really hard on the corner of our counter tops (which aren’t even that pointy!). It hit SUPER hard! We are lucky he didn’t have a concussion, too!
