Happy Wednesday!

It’s so weird not being on social media for the past 6 days (but who’s counting!). I’m finding that I have a lot more time to sit and think.  I’m trying to read more but find that I get bored about 3/4ths into a book.  Please leave me your suggestions below!  I like clean books with fluff or fantasy!

The boys had another tennis match yesterday in the FREEZING cold!  Thomas and his partner Harry won their 1st doubles match 6-0 6-0.  It was so fun to watch them!  They had some amazing shots and I’m happy to say that I even got some on film!

Madie and her husband, Carter, celebrated their 3 year anniversary this past Monday.  I don’t know if you remember or not but they were originally supposed to get married in May but then the pandemic hit and they decided to get married sooner than later.  They lived with us for the first 6 weeks of their marriage and I loved it!  Madie cooked dinner for us about 2-3 times a week.  I miss her cooking!

Madie sends me daily pictures of my Frankie Lou.  She is such a doll! She is 9 months old this week!

Tonight I have a church dinner and I’m bringing my famous lasagne recipe passed down to me by my mom.

Every Tuesday I get to make lunch for a group of Thomas’ school friends.  It’s usually from 5-12 kids.  Yesterday I made their favorite…. Ham & Cheese Sliders!

Yesterday I was able to throw this adorable quilt (all of it is made from scraps in my sewing room, including the backing & batting!) on the longarm.  I made it for one of our newest additions to the Cardon family.

I’m working on a Spring pillow on my embroidery machine.  I should be finished by Friday.  I can’t wait to display it in our family room.  It’s going to be SEW cute!!

I just realized that I haven’t shared my new Spring island runner & table runner with you yet.  I just cut 5 inch squares and sewed them together.  Easy Peasy!

And here’s a random pic of one of my boys napping underneath one of my quilts.  I just love that they use them! (I won’t share my sad story with you about how I accidentally left one of my favorite quilts at an away tennis match last week.  I’m heartbroken!  I hope it went to a good family.)
Oh yay, it’s starting to snow again.  I usually don’t mind but it is so gloomy outside.  I just want to crawl back in bed and throw the covers over my head.  I just want the sunshine again!

Yours,
Robyn

Robyn, Your quilts are stunning! Your cards, your quilts, your cooking – everything you touch is amazing!
Hugs from your downline from wayyyyy back! And yes, I am still stamping!

I read all the time. I read light romance books with nothing more than kissing in the book. Sheila Roberts and Debbie Macomber are my two favorite authors.

I’m sorry, no-good book suggestions, I did want to say, your quilts are just stunning,

We have no hands on classes for quilting or sewing near me. I’m an in-person learner so it’s hard.

I wish I had your talent for sewing and crafting, hugs, Lori m

I love anything by Christian author May Connealy, my faves are her Lassoed in Texas series and her Montana Messages series. Those six books are so funny (and clean) and some of my all time favorite books!
