On a personal note…..

I absolutely LOVE watching my kids play tennis matches!  Do you have a sport that you love to watch your children, friends, or grandchildren play?  Share in the comments!

Thomas and his partner won their Varsity match yesterday after a LONG game.  I’m so proud of all of them (even their opponents).  They were all good sports. (Now, the parents on the other hand….. LOL!)

I also just picked out the yarn and pattern I am taking with me on Monday while I am up at Stampin’ Up! HQ for my million dollar celebration.  I will have 2 nights in the hotel by myself (which will seem like heaven with all I have been going through in my personal world).  It’s going to be such a treat to start a new shawl that I can wear on my Stampin’ Up! Alaska Cruise that I earned and am taking my BFF, Karlee, on with me.

On another note….

I have decided to start sewing clothing again.  I want to make my own dresses and shirts.  Do any of you sew?  What pattern sources & fabric online sources do you recommend?  I’m not looking for the cheapest but the best quality.

Years and years ago when my 20 year old was only 1 1/2….. I sewed almost ALL of her clothes.  One Summer I sewed probably around 8-10 little rompers and a few church dresses.

I made MANY with this fun pattern!!

Now that my girls are older, it’s time to make ME some fun garments.  Let me know if you have any favorites!!  I can’t wait to get started and make room in My Pink Loft for my Pink Sewing Corner!!

Hugs,

Robyn

Better Late than Never is how I roll sometimes too! The gold on these cards is so stunning! 2 nights in a hotel in the peace and quiet?? How lucky!

  2. Nancy Freas says

This is my kind of card. I need cards for the shut-ins. I miss watching my son play Little League. Some of the games went on for hours but they were so darn cute it didn’t matter.

  3. Lois Berrett says

I don’t know how you do it, girl. You are so talented and accomplish so much. You truly are an inspiration to me. Love the card.

  4. Terry D says

Love the gold cards! Now I know how to use up the rest of that paper! When I was growing up, my mom made all of our clothes. As an adult, I made my own clothes for many years. I made some things for my son when he was a baby but there wasn’t a lot to make for a boy back then. I am shocked by the price of patterns these days.

  5. Sarah says

My oldest plays soccer and basketball. It is fun to watch kids play sports. Love this card!! I haven’t started on the campaign yet because I am enjoying knitting and crochet for now.

  6. Marilyn says

Beautiful card!! I used to go watch my kids play sports. Now I watch some of my grandkids play.
    Have a great day!

Ooooh, all that shimmery gold is so beautiful and I love the glitter paper too. As for your darling daughter in her hand-sewn clothes…love it! I used to sew many of my daughter’s clothing too and had so much fun.

  9. Debby Jones says

Gorgeous cards! I love the #acardadayinmay2018 challenge and am now waiting on Day 7 for my next card! The last 2 days used “Share What You Love Bundle”! Thanks!

  10. MeLissa Thresher says

I am in love with your gold cards!! You inspire me to try different colors too.

  11. Robinfromfl says

You are so busy…I get exhausted just listening to your days!!! I Love all you do!!! Beautiful cards so far in May!!!

  12. Laurie says

Your gold embossed card is beautiful! That’s the kind of card I love. It’s absolutely stunning! I used to sew costumes for the musicals I would direct with the kids at church, but I haven’t touch a piece of fabric since then. (I’m pretty sure no one—including me—would ever want to wear anything I would/could sew now! My talents in that department are very limited.). I also used to knit when I was little, so I probably could do that again if I had to. (It’s like riding a bike, isn’t it? You never forget how??). I LOVE watching my kids play sports. They both played three sports in high school, and they both also played college sports. I got to go all over watching them play, and I absolutely loved it!!! Thanks for giving us the opportunity to win this neat birthday stamp set!

  13. Sue says

I love watching baseball! doesn’t matter if it’s the majors or high school or younger. People say it too boring but I say what other sport can you start watching, do the laundry, get groceries, come back to watch and not miss a thing?! Love the glitter paper

  14. Janice Ramiszewski says

Did you mean Day 4 winner? Love this card. I ordered that stamp set and should receive it by Monday. Can’t wait. Makes for a beautiful wedding card.

  15. Tina Buttig says

Beautiful card! Some of my favorite memories are of watching my kids play sports! Miss those days!

  16. Cam Reisnour says

    Beautiful card !!
I sewed a lot for my kids when they were little–loved it
but it’s been a very long time ago. Can’t wait to see what
    you make.
    Thanks for all you do.

  17. Beth Ann Halvorson says

Love that card, I have it sitting on my desk right now in front of me! Thanks!

  18. Pat Ballew says

I use to sew a lot of my clothes even when I didn’t have a sewing machine. Then the price of fabric and patterns got so high it was cheaper to buy clothes from the stores so now I only sew to alter the clothes I buy.

  19. Karen says

Need to clean up dinner so o can get going on my card for day #4 of #acardadayinmay2018.

Thanks for the kick in the duppa Robyn to get to that table everyday to make a card and get it out in the mail.

  20. Karen says

My 5 grew up playing mostly soccer with some odds and ends sports thrown in. When they got to high school 2 of them stayed with soccer along with some other sports but 2 of the other sports they picked up that I enjoyed watching were bowling and the youngest took up and is currently playing rugby.

  21. Vanessa Jensen says

Thank you, I love your gorgous Layering Love card you made me. A long time ago I enjoyed watching my children play soccer. I look forward to my grandchildren playing sports one day.

  22. Jessie Poquette says

Birthday cards are my favorite cards to make! I love watch my girls play sports. My oldest is a runner and in show choir and my youngest likes volleyball.

  23. Diane says

I don’t know how you have enough time in the day for everything you do! I have the foil paper but have yet to open it up. I’ve been busy with a project for our first grandchild’s room. Due date is a week away!

  24. JenniferE says

You are such a creative person! I scrap but don’t sew or stitch or use yarn or thread…unless on a LO or card! I’m loving the colors youve chosen to make your shawl for the Alaska trip! Pretty cards today…lots of gold!

  25. Gabrielle Lieberg says

You were born with CRAFT rather than blood running thru your veins! Thank you again for the chance.

  26. Sheri Mazell says

When my two girls were younger I always made them matching outfits. When they look st the scrapbooks they are always telling me “what were you thinking?” I love seeing but don’t sew clothes anymore I see crafty things. Have a great weekend.

  27. Debbie Esper says

When my kids were little it was s softball and dance for my daughter and baseball/soccor/basketball for my boys. Life was crazy. I kinda miss it. Love the gold card. So many ways,to use it.

  28. Silvia Payan says

I can barely keep up with my 1 hobby. You do so much and seem to enjoy all of it.
My son is a hip hop dancer, I was the chauffeur (Fuego Dance Crew Momma) was(is) my name, back in the day, but now he competes nation wide and I don’t go with him. I just get the fun calls that they won 1st – 2nd- 3rd……. etc. kids grow up so fast, enjoy this time you have with them.

  29. Mariah says

We have had 3 of our 4 kids so far in soccer and baseball, and 2 in karate. They are learning tennis now. I haven’t sewn clothing in years because I just don’t have the time. My daughter sews and I encourage her to keep at it. 🙂

  30. Sherry Woodard says
