Happy Monday Everyone!


How was your Christmas?  Ours was wonderful!  Very low key this  year but that is the way our family likes it.  I was actually calm and not totally stressed out like in years past.  For my children’s present from us, I made them all Minky blankets.  These took a little time as the minky material is not easy to sew.  Good thing it is just straight lines!   We also had a white Christmas!  It started snowing on Christmas Eve and we woke up to a blanket of snow.  So perfect for the occasion!

    I made a couple of quilts for my grandsons. I had started a quilt using corduroy years ago for a king size bed, never finished it Found it, took it part way apart and made 2 quilts for 2 grandsons.

    I love learning something new everyday and today I learned what a Minky blanket was. I had to look it up. I sew all the time but never saw anything like this. Guess I need to look at other materials besides quilting ones. The snow looks beautiful! It is cold enough here in the desert for some snow but so far there is none. Have a great New Year.

    Glad to hear you had a wonderful Christmas. We had snow here in Vancouver the 26th, but it did not stick. So sad, we were looking forward to a wonder land of white, but winter is just started and we may still get some white stuff yet.
    The stamp set is really pretty, great choice for the Monday prize.

    A beautiful snowy Christmas!!!I too gave 8 blankets this year and surprizeingly the 17 and 20 year old boys loved them!!! I wasnt sure, my daughter in law, saw what I gave her 3 kids and said my b dayis in Jan I would love one!!! I usually give the kids money!!

    Glad you had a wonderful Christmas season. I just love the snow. We never have a White Christmas in GA. I would just love to have colder weather for more than just a day or two. LoL

    Beautiful WHITE CHRISTMAS!! It was 75 degrees here in North Carolina Christmas Day. It is really hard to get the Christmas spirit with such warm weather, especially when you are not used to warm weather during Christmas. Thank you for the WHITE CHRISTMAS picture.
