Happy Monday Everyone!


Wow!  It sure is windy here this morning!  How about you guys?  Is it getting colder where you live? My poor chickens about froze last night.  3 of them had literally “flown over the cuckoo’s nest” and escaped to be out where they could destroy my husband’s mulch.  We went out to check on them around 10pm and they were all shivering right by the coop.  We, thankfully, got them in their beds nice and cozy for the night.

Chicken Update:

The weather is starting to get a little chilly for this fluffy friends!  They are still laying pretty well, except for one who has stopped completely.  They are LOVING their new chicken run.  They have plenty of room to scratch around and play.

Personal Note:
I have a terrible laundry situation in my home that is the effect of spending too much time in My Pink Loft!!  Today I am going to try to get caught up on this disaster!  My older children help me as much as they can but are so busy with school and sports.  Wish me luck today battling this monster!!  (I’m not even showing you the dirty clothes mountain on the other side of the room!!)

    I had 1washer and 1dryer and a husband and 5 kids, I assigned each a day when the youngest turned 7 and they were responsible for their own laundry. Best decision I ever made.

    I loved that treat cup idea! I always forget one a two small gifts during the holiday season so having these ideas on hand make it easy for us busy momma's to get everything done, or try to at least. LOL.

    I love your chickens, I wish our yard here in AZ was big enough or the city ordnance was such that we could have a couple of our own so in the mean time I will live my chicken lady life vicariously through you Robyn. Also, I feel ya on the laundry situation, we have only 4 people in our house but our two little ones (4 years old & 10 months) keep me pretty busy that laundry ends up on the back burner and then I have no idea how to catch up.       Robyn, I hope your wash day went better than mine. My washer sent water down the hall and in the family room again. So repair man is to come on Tuesday 8 – 5. I don't think it can be repaired. Really not a good time for this to happen. A lot is going on. We have carpet being installed that day also. Cloths have to get washed somewhere sometime.
