Happy Monday Everyone!


Did you all have a great weekend??!!  I hope so!  I was a little under the weather STILL!  Not totally sick or anything, just lacking energy and feeling super tired.  I got lots of rest, which was much needed.  I’m feeling pretty close to normal this morning but decided to pass on tennis just one more day to make sure.

Chicken Time!

Lola laid her first super cute egg!  It’s the one in the middle of the basket.  She is a bantam so her eggs will always be small.  It was the cutest thing!  She has laid 3 eggs since last week!
 Princess also laid her first egg this week!  She has also laid 3 eggs since last week.  They are small now but will get to be a good large sized egg.  We now have 11 chickens who are laying eggs!  We even got 11 eggs in one day!

Introducing Starlight!  She is my White Cuckoo Maran.  She is super sweet but doesn’t even know it. She lets me hold her and she doesn’t run away as fast as the other chickies.  I heart her!

    We had a hen that was living in the woods behind our home for a couple of months. We got quite attached to her and she laid an egg for us everyday. Then one day she disappeared and never came back. It made me so sad. I would love to own chickens but I can't so I live vicariously through your chickee updates!     If I only had half the energy you did (even if you are apparently not feeling well), I can only imagine the things I might be able to accomplish. I really hope I have the opportunity to win the card stock & stamp (a scrapper can't ever can't ever have too many supplies).

    P.S. My sister has raised chickens for years and there is nothing better than farm fresh eggs. The chickens can take some work to be taken care of, but in the end…it can teach a lot of great qualities.

    this is great, I am getting to the last of my Creamy Carmel CS and this punch is wonderful too.
    I love your chickens and your little stories. When I lived on the farm growing up we had chickens and roosters. It was great. I didn't know what a store bought egg was until I was in high school and we moved from CA to IL where we could not keep a lot of chickens. Mom still had a few but there were not enough eggs for a family of seven.
