Okay, I can honestly say in my 34 years of life I have never experienced allergies……………. until now!! For the past few days my throat has been really itchy and scratchy. At first I thought that maybe I was getting a cold but it is just staying the same. My nose is running and I have been sneezing/light coughing because of my throat. Last night I was miserable and couldn’t sleep at all. I had to get up and blow my nose. It is not like a cold, I can tell the difference now. It is just THERE and is not progressing or changing. Anyway, I feel for all of you in my life who have had to suffer. It is my turn now. The trees started to bloom this week and Bryan totally dusted the house on Saturday (what a man). I guess I will take a Claritin and hope it helps.
Other than that I am great! My Book of Mormon reading is going just as planned. I am learning so much. I am trying to highlight special versus along the way, too!!
Click to CommentEvery mom needs a break. It’s just that simple. So last night a friend and I went out to dinner to get our much needed break. It was so nice to have a conversation without kids interuppting. I truly believe that in order to be a better mom we all need to take time for ourselves. I am so grateful that I have a scrapbooking hobby and a stamping hobby. I’m not sure what I would do without that time to myself.
For some reason I cannot upload pictures to my blog right now so just imagine my creations I am making with my Cricut and Cuttlebug. They are too cute!!! Maybe I can try links…..

I think that might have worked! I’m hoping to do some more this weekend. Bryan and I get to go on two dates!! We are going out to dinner tonight with some good friends and we are going over to a friend’s house tomorrow night to have a St. Patrick’s dinner. Should be fun. I haven’t decided if we are taking the baby or leaving him. Hmmmmmmmm……… He is my sweet, little baby. Okay! We are taking him!!
Click to CommentTonight Bryan and I were the leaders from our ward for the Stake Youth talent show. It was super fun!! Those youth just crack me up. There was one boy who danced and it was GREAT! I haven’t laughed that hard in so long. You had to be there. Afterwards Bryan and I went to Sonic with three of the Young Women from our ward. I really enjoyed just chatting with them and learning about their life. I totally feel like just one of them. Even though I know I am not. I LOVE this part of my calling in the church. I get to be a mentor for these beautiful, talented, smart, adorable young ladies. I feel very blessed. I love them just like they were my own.
Click to CommentI can’t even believe it!! I turned on my girls’ Cheetah Girls CD and did aerobics/step to it for 25 minutes. Then I did 100 sit-ups!! Can you believe it?? I didn’t just do regular sit-ups either. I did 20 where I had Bryan stand over me and throw my legs to the floor and I had to resist it by bringing them back up. I know I will be sore tomorrow but man I feel good now. I can’t remember why I don’t like to exercise. I really need to get into shape. I am still about 30 pounds from where I need to be. You can’t tell when you look at me because I hide it pretty well. I know though. It’s frustrating having to still wear maternity jeans when my baby is 3 months old! Another reason I want to start exercising is to make sure my body is healthy. I have been having this pain in my left side in the back under my ribs. I’m not sure if it is a pulled muscle from lifting the baby or something to do with my kidneys. I’m sure just being healthy will help it. I saved $57 today by working out at home!! Let’s see how I feel tomorrow when it all hits me!!
Click to CommentOne of the hymns sung at my baptism almost 12 years ago was “Count Your Blessings”. I think that I forget sometimes just how many blessings I have in my life. I just wanted to take a minute to remember how thankful I am for……..
***MY MOM***
*My family. I have 5 beautiful, fun kids and an AWESOME husband who would do anything for me.
*My friends. I feel blessed to have many friends in my life who I love and who love me.
*Our house. I am grateful to FINALLY be living in a nice, comfortable house after living in apartments for the first 8 years of our marriage.
*2 cars. I remember the days when we just had 1 car. All through dental school, almost!! It is a blessing to have 2.
*My Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. That should be number 1 on my list.
*A great extended family. I married into the BEST family in the world.
*All the many talents the Lord has blessed me with.
*Running water. I thought about the Pioneers today as I was doing my dishes and thought how they would freak if they saw how much water I was wasting.
*3 toilets in my house. I remember having 1 toilet for the first 6 years of our marriage and although it was easy to keep 1 clean, it was a pain.
*A hobby to keep me busy. I think without my scrapbooking hobby I would be bored.
*Lots and Lots more!!
