Beautiful You Pink Candy Winner and new Pink Candy!

Hello everyone!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  I took a lot of time off to spend with my kids and family.  It was great!

My mom and I went yarn shopping on Saturday in Salt Lake City.  I’ll share pics at the bottom if you are interested in my knitting adventures.  lol!

Last week my weekly giveaway was Beautiful You stamp set.

The winner is……

Jean Schultz

Congratulations!!!

This week’s Pink Candy is soooo super amazing!!!  How would you like to win an entire medium Priority Box of my online class leftovers, extra die cuts, embellishments, and a lot of paper??!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving last week.  Here are some of my favorite pics of the day.  So happy to be with all my 5 children.  We were not all together last Thanksgiving because my oldest was living in Hawaii.

Some of you know that I have a new hobby/crafting obsession.  About 2 months ago I learned how to knit so that I could go with my sister, Christy, on a knitting tour in Ireland.

I started with hats and am now sock addicted!  I LOVE paper crafting and now also LOVE that I have another hobby that I can do while in the passenger seat of a car, sitting on my daughter or sons’ beds waiting for them to fall asleep, or in the living room watching TV with my family.  I encourage all of you to add a new hobby to your collection this new year.

Here is a hat that I finished last week (and made in about a day!) . I knit on Sundays after church.

Isn’t my model the cutest? This is my ALMOST 13 year old, Thomas. Yes, a lot of you have watched him grow up over the years.

Here are the MOST ADORABLE self striping socks that I am working on now (while putting the kids to bed).

I have been asked by some of my viewers who are knitters or who would like to be knitters if I would start a youtube channel just for my knitting.  I have decided that I will be starting up one very soon.  You can click HERE if you would like to be one of my first subscribers.  These are called “podcasts” even though they are videos and I will be doing 1-2 a month to share what I’ve made, what I’ve purchased, and just basic knitting and yarn goodness.  🙂 .

Here are some of the goodies that I got on Black Friday weekend for my knitting hobby.

P.S.  My 12 Days of Christmas starts THIS Friday, December 1st!  I have done this for at least 8 years, and have had great support so I will continue this year, too!

There will be new videos, giveaways, projects and Christmas FUN!!  You will want to check my blog HERE every day during the 12 Days!!

Spread the love

LOVE the photos of your family! There’s just nothing like having everyone home at the holidays to spend fun times together, is it? As for knitting…oh my. I managed to learn how to crochet a bit years ago but knitting just kept eluding me. I still have knitting needles and yarn but try not to think about them..ha!

  2. Kristi says

So excited for your knitting. Tried it once, never got the hang of it, probably the wrong yarn for a beginner. I do crochet though.

  3. Denise Bryant says

What a fun prize box! It would be like Christmas to unpack it!
Love your knitting projects. I took a class in beginning knitting awhile back, and I wasn’t too successful at it! Felt like I had two left hands…

  4. Kimberly Sheppard says

I have so many hobbies and so little time!!! I love to make things that people can use, so satisfying!

  5. RobinfromFL says

That yarn looks so warm and cozy! I need to dig out my grandmother’s needles and hooks and give it a go!

  7. JenniferE says

Love the hat and socks! Great colors for both!! Congrats to last week’s winner! Thanks for a chance at a box of goodies!!

  8. Gabrielle says

I love to crochet. In addition to being a ridiculous paper and stamp hoarder, I have too many unused skeins of yarn! If I keep it up, I’m gonna need a much bigger crafting space! I can fit at least one more box though….

  9. Vickie Madewell says

Holy moly! Knitting is something on my bucket list of things to learn/do! What a great box of goodies!

  10. Ruth says

Creativity doesn’t stop with paper. I love jewelry making but may start back with knitting. That soothing feel of something in your hands while you sit, is electrifying

  11. Michelle Raymond says

Congratulations on accomplishing knitting I’ve tried several times and never could! I don’t know where you going to find time to nap with those beautiful children and all your stamping !!!! Keep on keeping on !

  12. Trish Carr says

Love that you have a new hobby. Sometimes I get in a rut and feel I have lost all creativity. A new hobby might just be the thing to spark new ideas-thanks for the suggestion!

  13. Donna Schnees says

Aweso.e pics of family. Of all things I learned to craft, knitting is not one of them. Maybe when I am old, I will get that one learned, but for now paper is my passion! YRS and looking forward to your 12 days of Christmas?

  14. Lynnette Hallbick says

Your socks are cute. I know knitting basics, but prefer the quick results of card making. I plan this next year, to use up all my non-SU supplies to make charity cards for local hospitals and organizations. If I ever finish unpacking and setting up my craft room. Lol

  15. Sonya Hubley says

You are an inspiration to my daughter and I. We even have the baby watching your videos. He knows when it’s your voice now. Lol. Thanks for the chance to win.

  16. Stephanie in MI says

I’m a knitter, too. I love making socks! New addictions are fun, but watch out. You might get like me hand have as much yarn as you have other crafting supplies! 🙂

  21. Janelle Hibbard says

What fun colors of yarn!! You have picked up knitting very quickly. All I have done is a few scarves-same number of stitches back and forth is the most I can handle! What a fun box of goodies you are giving away! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  25. Sharlene Hart says

Great knitting projects! I have never mastered knitting but I do crochet. Even did some strawberry booties for my granddaughter. Would love the box of leftovers, since I know they would be just plain FUN!

  32. Sheila White says

I crocheted afghans, but don’t do it much with my numbness in my hands. I love your colored yarn. A box of knick knack leftovers sounds like a great prize. Hope my name is drawn.

  33. Sheri says

I crochet and love it. One of the main reasons is because I can do it on the go(sitting at the hospital, riding in the car or wherever). I am one of those people that can not just sit. I taught myself to crochet watching you tubes. I started with was clothes, then scarves, then afgans and now I am doing beanie hats. Love looking at your knitting projects Robyn.

  34. Ellie Peckler says

Robyn, you are blessed with a wonderful (and photogenic) family! I am not a knitter but will watch your new You Tube channel because you are so entertaining! Best wishes, Ellie

  35. Liz Lumsden says

I’m impressed you picked up knitting so quickly! I crochet but took a few knitting classes with my friend and it was so awkward for me! I finally got the hang of manipulating the needles but I knit so slowly I gave up.

  36. Becky Bush says

The hat is super cute. My mom showed me how to knit when I was a teenager. I never fished the blanket I was making. 30 years later it’s still waiting to be finished. Lol Thanks for the chance to win all the goodies.

  37. Candace S. says

Robyn, those are beautiful yarns. Where did you get them? I love the socks you are making. I have always wanted to try to knit a pair. Do you have an easy pattern?

  38. Terry D. says

Love your knitting projects. I crochet, or I used to many years ago, but I never did get the hang of knitting.

  39. Sandy Heard says

I learned to knit and crochet from my husband’s grandma. I love it but I find it easier to crochet ? your socks are super cute!

  40. Patricia Wallace says

I signed up for your podcast, perhaps it will inspire me to take up knitting! I used to, A LONG, time ago when afghans were in style (70’s). LOL Hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving Break!!

  41. Ann says

I’ve been trying to learn to knit forever! Still on the same scarf from 2013, so I’ll prob just got back to crochet! Great pic of your family. You look so happy for everyone to be all together 🙂
